Class again..
Today yet again I had Swedish class and my tounge is about to go CRAZY! My poor mouth is not equipped to speak this language. There are many different countries within my classroom, there are people from Russia, Pakistan, Iran Viet Nam, Spain and of course me the little American girl. It feels weird to be the only girl from U.S.A, but I am sure I will adapt fairly quickly. The weather is pretty un-rad here at the moment, it has been cold and rainy all week long. But the sun doesn't go down until after 10 at night so that is super rad! Jonathan goes to soccer 3 times a week and then he has games every saturday, as lonely as I seem to get sometimes his games make up for it. He is too good at soccer, I don't feel very confident playing in front of him because of his extreme talent. I met two very nice boys from Somalia yesterday, little did I know that Somalian people were so nice. The scariest fact of the day is that Bin Laden's brother use to live 15 mins away in a town called Falun. It is a a very cute little town, I drove up there after class the other day, it is in the middle of rolling green hills that are covered in pine trees. Borlänge is like the capital for immigrants here in Sweden, so I guess its perfect for me the ''American immigrant''. The other day I attempted to make Swedish meatballs and it turned into ground beef :) I actually feel like that was luck because now I never have to roll raw meat in between my hands ever again:)! Peace out!

It's been a while..
Its been a while since I have been home. I have now been living in Sweden for almost 3 months. I feel that the toughest times are over, the initial shock of actually living in Sweden has past, and now I am beginning to form a life for myself here. Today was the first day for Swedish class. I have to go there everyday at 8:20 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon. I am the only American girl in the class. It feels strange to play the role of the ''immigrant''. I have forgotten what it feels like to turn on the TV and understand the advertisements, I have forgotten what it feels like to go the store and have a simple yet short conversation with the cashier. As silly as it sounds those simple things such as short conversations with cashiers are greatly missed, it is easy to not realize how important those things are to you until they are taken away from you. Recently I got married to a Swedish man and he talked me into becoming an official ''Swede'', living here learning the language and of course making Swedish meatballs, which I attempted to do the other day and it turned into ground beef. My hubby laughed at them and said ''what are those''!;) Good thing Sweden has frozen Swedish meatballs;) The most wonderful thing about Sweden is that nearly everyone speaks English , and the people are very kind. Sometimes I feel as though I live in Iran, everyday when I look out my window I see several Muslim women in there gowns and head scarves covering every inch of their bodies. When I go running outside I often run past them, wearing short shorts and a t-shirt. I often wonder what they think about me. It can sometimes be an uncomfortable feeling, but I am so grateful for the blessing to be able to wear whatever I want. Sweden is very strange about religion, coming from Utah which is usually considered a Mormon bubble it is weird to see that to most people in Sweden God doesn't exist. But I know God exists even here in Sweden;) I love Sweden it is a beautiful place full of lush green forest's and several lakes. Jonathan and I took the Mormon missionaries to the forest the other day for a fire and some good conversation. We had a really rad time, one of the missionaries is from Utah, it is crazy how small the world is. He has brought a lot of comfort to me here while living in Sweden, it's so nice to hear an American accent especially a Utah accent;). Hopefully my next blog will be in Swedish! just kidding... but maybe in a few months;) Hej da for now!
